Making the holiday’s a little easier on doctors: How CD Projekt Red’s doing it right

This year has been a hard one, which means that Cyberpunk 2077cannot come out fast enough. But CD Projekt Red is partnering up with the non-profit Great Orchestra of Christmas this holiday season in order to that help more medical practitioners as well as elderly centers with better resources. And with gaming being one of the only escapes that inadvertently help lower the curb, it’s a Christmas miracle indeed.

The gaming company is partnering up once again with The Great Orchestra of Christmas Foundation, whose non-profit helps combat the lack of medical materials within Polish hospitals by providing equipment to elderly homes to practitioners, by creating a cosmetic skin. Don’t worry, the skin has no game-altering abilities that will make this pay to win. But its sleek white and red blend goes nicely on any resident of the fictional Night City would be lucky to be seen in. This design can also go with any gun or weapon and blends nicely with any vehicle.

The skin will go for 5$ USD for the entire cosmetic (as much as a cup of coffee and a bagel). It can either be downloaded via any systems store like the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Steam and is cross-console. The skin can also be found on the game’s main menu on release day, December 10th. The game officially went gold on October 5th, with Projekt Red working out minor bugs for the on-release patch in order to provide the best gaming experience to date. And as spokesperson of their Public Relations division, I can safely say that (when viewing the skin within the review copy) the skin is well worth the $5 bill.

It seems with everything going on in the world, gaming has become a much-needed distraction from everything going with the pandemic going on. And rest assured, all proceeds go directly to the non-profit. No funny business. Heads of the studio have been on top of this since March, with the studio explainingWe are all following events related to the coronavirus epidemic. The number of cases is increasing, and the health service is facing more and more challenges. In these hard times, every help counts, so over the last few days we have been wondering how we could contribute…“.(CD Projekt Red Studios, 2020)
