The newest game released by game developer invokes impromptu donation to aid healthcare professionals

Purpose: CD Projekt Red chief staff as well as its co-founder has recently donated more than 2 million dollars towards health care professionals among raises in cases concerning COVID-19. This is the second time the staff has donated a large sum of Polish złoty during the year in an attempt to provide financial aid towards The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, a Polish non-profit that raises money for pediatric centers and elderly homes. This is to add to the contracts signed by GOCC to provide 150 intensive care unit beds as well as 50,000 sets of personal protection equipment to medical workers who have been caring for the infected. The amount for this present donation is undisclosed but is claimed to match previous donations.
Video-game publishing company CD Projekt, which was established back in 2002, has done numerous steps to aid in the medical field concerning COVID-19 since March 2020. These two organizations have worked together for multiple years, from their charity auction back in 2017 which also resulted in proceeds going to GOCC (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity). The winner of the auction would receive a giant statue of The Witcher 1-3 protagonist Geralt. This has been documented by multiple different local sources.
Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, founded in 1993 by Jerzy Owsiak, Lidia Niedźwiedzka-Owsiak, Bohdan Maruszewski, and Piotr Burczyński, has raised over 100 million dollars USD since its creation. Their mantra, written in their deed of foundation, has always been “Protecting Health and Saving Children’s Lives by Providing Medical Equipment to Public Hospitals” which can be found via their website.
The company’s own steps in order to combat the spread of COVID-19 have been having all their designers work from home in order to invoke social distancing protocols. The company recently has delayed its latest release, Cyberpunk 2077, till the 9th of December of 2020. This will be the company’s 7th released game.
